A man who disappeared more than six years ago has been found dead after divers found his remains in a submerged car just steps from a busy public pool.
Dale Nicholson, 61, disappeared on the afternoon of December 10, 2016 after talking to a friend on the phone.
His family reported him missing the next day, but police were unable to locate him despite a massive search.
Downunder Divers, a group that specializes in stopping cold problems, announced via YouTube on Monday that they had found Mr Nicholson and his car.
The team plunged their Ford Falcon sedan into the River Derwent next to a car park used for a busy local swimming pool.
More to come.
